Newman M3 23" x 31" Ultralight Textile Frame
Ultra-lightweight, retensionable aluminum roller frame engineered for high-tension automatic textile screen printing, providing consistent mesh tension, improved registration, and dependable production performance.
Characteristics
The Newman M3 23" x 31" Ultralight Textile Frame is a professional-grade retensionable roller frame designed for textile screen printers who require high screen tension, precise registration, and reliable performance on automatic presses. Its lightweight yet strong aluminum construction provides the durability required for demanding production environments while remaining easier to handle than heavier frame designs.
Unlike conventional static frames, the Newman M3 system allows the mesh to be retensioned as needed, helping printers maintain consistent screen tension throughout the life of the mesh. Properly maintained tension can improve registration, stencil performance, ink transfer, and overall print consistency during production. The frame can be tensioned manually or with compatible Newman Roller Master™ stretching equipment.
The M3 Series features a larger roller profile and substantially greater tension capability than the Newman MZX Series. The manufacturer specifies a maximum tension capacity of 85 Newtons and describes the M3 as its automatic-production frame, making the series well suited for medium-to-large shops operating multiple automatic presses.
Its reusable roller-frame design allows mesh to be replaced and retensioned rather than requiring replacement of the complete frame. This makes the M3-UL a dependable long-term screen solution for high-production textile printing environments where repeatable tension and registration are critical.
- Retensionable roller-frame design helps maintain proper mesh tension over repeated production cycles
- Ultra-light aluminum construction combines reduced frame weight with high structural strength
- Designed specifically for high-tension automatic screen printing applications
- Maximum frame tension capability of 85 Newtons
- Can be tensioned and retensioned manually or with compatible Newman Roller Master™ equipment
- Helps support accurate registration through controlled and consistent mesh tension
- Helps improve stencil performance, ink transfer, and production consistency
- Reusable frame design allows mesh to be replaced rather than replacing the complete frame
- Suitable for demanding textile screen printing environments
- Designed for repeated high-production use
- Use mesh and locking strips designed specifically for the Newman M3 frame profile.
- M3 and MZX frames have different roller dimensions and tension capacities, so components designed for one series should not automatically be assumed compatible with the other.
- Check screen tension periodically using an appropriate tension meter.
- Retension the mesh when necessary to help maintain consistent registration and printing performance.
- Follow Newman's recommended stretching and tensioning procedures for the specific mesh count and thread diameter being installed.
- Do not automatically tension every mesh to the frame's maximum 85-Newton capacity.
- Select the appropriate working tension based on the mesh specifications and printing application.
- Compatible Newman Roller Master™ equipment can be used to simplify initial stretching and subsequent retensioning.
- The Newman Roller Master L2 and L3 models accommodate the 23" x 31" M3 frame.
- Inspect the frame, locking strips, mesh, and tension regularly as part of routine screen room maintenance.
